He said it sounds as though the knob and hardware didn’t seat in the provided milled insert when raised and tighten. I believe the person's name I spoke to was Jerrod. So I decided to give LW a call and ask for their opinions. Like many others I’ve used this stand for many years and mostly setting it up in the dark and never had any problems. If you use these stand please make sure your knobs are tight.Īs I stated earlier in my post that more than likely what caused my issue was my mistake not tightening the knobs enough. Other than a few scraped up knuckles I came away fine thanks to securing myself in. The belt being flexible allow it to go the rest of the way. I believe the knobs weren’t tight enough allowing this to happen. What I think happen was the part that allows the stand to lay flat pivoted down which caused the first 10 degree shift. After many attempts I was able to get it raised enough with one hand to get down. The main issue was without using both hands I wasn’t able to raise the pivot part which allows the stand to lay flat. With a bow in hand I was able to climb up on the little hand climber.Īt this point the only means of getting down was to find a way to reach down with one hand and reset the stand which I did. Seconds later it does it again but this time it’s now pointing straight down leaving me hanging on for dear life.
